Assess Late Fees to Autopay Invoices
It is not uncommon for invoices set up on autopay to go uncollected due to issues such as customers not adding a payment method to the system or their credit card being expired or compromised. As such, we need a way to assess late fees on invoices with the payment terms = autopay.

DonAgreed. I believe it is marked past due after the attempts are made. You should be able to charge a late fee to past due accounts.

Matt R HerronI am curious as to why "credit terms" were designed to trigger late fees but "auto pay" will not. Was this done for a purpose or just an oversight? Seems like this should be a fairly easy implementation as it is will simply trigger off "past due" as credit term clients already do. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from someone soon.

Jared King AdminThank you for the feedback. Late fees are calculated based on the invoice due date. AutoPay invoices are not explicitly excluded from late fees, however, since AutoPay invoices do not have a due date, they do not have late fees applied. This would apply to any invoice without a due date and not just AutoPay invoices.
If you wanted Invoiced to assess late fees for your AutoPay invoices then you would have to first disable AutoPay on the invoice and select a due date.
You can see the conditions under which an invoice will be assessed late fees here: https://docs.invoiced.com/guides/payment-incentives#df-late-fee-criteria
