Custom Transaction Types / Transaction Definitions
It would be useful if we could create custom transaction definitions with their own workflow / posting policies.
For example: a "sales order" transaction that functions like an invoice, can sync with accounting systems, but doesn't increase the customer's balanced owed and can be converted to a normal invoice.
Or a "debit adjustment" transaction that functions like a credit note, but increases the balance owed on an invoice. This is a common type of transaction in ERP systems like Intacct and Great Plains and there's currently no intuitive way to keep them in sync with Invoiced.
Or simply two types of regular invoices (services vs. product sales, for instance) with different custom templates and different required fields.
