Adjust triggers to allow for an individual customer's preference

The trigger to send a thank you email when the invoice is paid is very helpful for many customers. However, we do have a significant number of customers who do not want to receive this additional email. Could you please enable the ability for a customer to select to opt-out of the thank you email?
